This newly designed course will give students an in-depth knowledge of concepts relevant to tourism, ecotourism and the environment. The emphasis will focus on tourism and ecotourism practices, information and administration. It will also examine how the planet earth functions and ways of dealing with a range of present-day environmental issues and problems.
Employment opportunities would include carrying out a range of information, administrative and service functions in a broad range of tourism, ecotourism and environmental related organisations. There is also the option to progress to further education in such areas as tourism marketing, environmental sciences and cultural enterprises.
