North Connaught College have a number of part time programmes that are delivered in the evenings. Please see below the list of part time programmes running and planned for 2017. Recruit a learner on placement (e.g. one day a week)

All of our full time programmes have placement modules where the learners go out into employer organisations to receive valuable work experience. These placements are beneficial for the learner and the employer. The employer gains by getting access to a knowledgeable and enthusiastic student. In the past, many of these students returned to work permanently with their placement employer. We are always interested in hearing from employers looking to take on a student on placement. The length of the placement varies from programme to programme. The various placement details for our programmes are available below:

Suggest a project for our full time learners

On all  of our courses, learners are expected to complete a project relevant to the course they are completing. We welcome suggestions from local employers who can provide opportunities to our learners to engage in real life case studies or projects.

Tourism

Learners on this course would benefit from engaging with employers in the tourism and hospitality sector who could provide projects in relation to:

  • Developing brochures for tourism attractions
  • Developing marketing material
  • Developing systems for tourism information outlets

  • Learners could engage with businesses in designing templates for office forms and other stationary, developing spreadsheets and databases for specific projects

  • In their second year learners engage in research in a specialised part of the beauty therapy course- they could link in with your research needs
