North Connaught College offers QQI Level 5 and Level 6 Post Leaving Certificate Courses in Beauty Therapy, 
Business Studies, Childcare, Community Development, Supervision in Childcare, Nursing Studies, Tourism Studies, and Security Studies. Students on these courses are eligible to apply for maintenance grants from SUSI or if currently receiving welfare payments could apply for the Back to Education Allowance. The College also offers VTOS (the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme); this scheme gives all unemployed people an opportunity to return to education and training opportunities without losing their benefits. North Connaught College welcomes students of all ages, nationalities and abilities. Places are offered after a short interview, so that suitability, enthusiasm and life experience are considered more important than a “points” score at Leaving Cert.
The College has many links with the local community and provides training for many of the local businesses and local authorities. It also provides a comprehensive range of evening classes. We are proud to say that past students from the college can be found contributing to their local communities in all corners of the world in hospitals, universities, companies and local authorities as well has having started their own businesses.
