- Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied or equivalent

- Applicants whose first language is not English will require a competency as stated in our admissions policy
- This course requires participants to be Garda vetted. Continued participation on the course and work placement is dependent on the successful completion of this process
Progression
This award will allow students to apply to progress to:
- HSE National Ambulance Training College (student paramedic)
- Firefighter Recruit training (Irish Fire Services)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Paramedic Degree courses in the UK
Graduates may gain entry to Third Level Institutes and Colleges through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme

Duration
This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.
